A quick glance at the Magnum sprocket reveals a design that is quite divergent from the norm.There is no center core. Typical snowcat sprockets feature a steel or aluminum core that is then encased in plastic at the toothed area. The Magnum sprocket eliminates this.
The sprocket itself consists of high density plastic with steel bushing inserts at the mounting holes.
A steel support ring provides uniform power transmission.
There are several advantages to the new Magnum sprocket:
- The tooth design improves tire guide engagement enhancing performance especially when turning.
- Superior wear characteristics yielding a service life that far exceeds that of a conventional sprocket.
