Create the optimum track . . .

Whether its laying double track for recreational Nordic skiers or preparing professional competition racing lanes with set track or skating lanes, the PistenBully tracksetting tiller is the tiller of choice.

PistenBully tracksetting tillers come in a full array of widths. The 2.5 meter, 2.8 meter and the 3.1 meter are designed for the PistenBully 100. The 3.1m can accept up to three track setting pans. For greater width trails, the 3.9M PT2000 does the job. Since this is a full width tiller it must be mounted behind a full size PistenBully such as THE EDGE, 300 or the new 600. It can accept up to four trackpans.

When grooming a Nordic ski trail each track setting pan can be controlled independently from the driver's seat at the press of a switch. This enables the operator to decide how many track pans to engage on the trail at any one instance. Depending on the tiller width, it is possible to set up to four parallel tracks at the same time or form only one track and leave the remaining width for skating lanes.

The lifting arms of the track setting pans have silent rubber bearing. The pans plot an accurate course even when negotiating bends in the trail. Each track pan has a rubber mount isolated crosshead linkage affixed to the top center of the pan. This linkage compensates for uneven terrain. The abrasion resistant track shoes are made from a special polymer that is actually snow repellent. Snow will not stick to the shoe surface ensuring a smooth track. The aggressive cutting action of the tiller feeds the track pans with a loosened, processsed snow surface ideal for setting track. The track pan assembly can be moved laterally along the adjustment bar to vary the width between set track.

Top quality trails for world champions. Nothing can be left to chance a major international sporting events. World class Nordic track depends on reliable grooming vehicles, a strong support team and a superior track setting tiller. These are just three of the reasons why PIstenBully was chosen for the 2005 Nordic Skiing World Championships in Obertsdorf, Germany and continures to the the official groomer for the American Birkebeiner in Hayward, Wisconsin for the 6th year running.
