An overhead winch equipped PistenBully PB 280 DW is used to spread gravel on steep grades.

When low ground pressure is the key . . .

PistenBully vehicles are designed for tough applications in difficult terrain. The feature that uniquely identifies a PistenBully is high horsepower and torque in a low ground pressure platform. Thanks to this extremely low ground pressure, the PistenBully is ideal for work on sensitive surfaces which will not support wheeled vehicles or heavy construction type crawler tractors.

Applications are numerous. Peat bog harvesting, mosquito abatement in marshland, spreading fill on steep grades, mowing and mulching, or even laying artificial oyster beds on the coast.

If conventional vehicles cannot be used, the all terrain specialists at Kassboher will find a solution for almost any application.

The PistenBully footprint is light. Ground pressure for special applications can be as low as 50 gram/sq. cm ( 0.71 pounds per square inch). Robust diesel engines ensure reliable and economical operation. The hydrostatic transmission provides high performance and independent track control with infinite speed variation within the speed range. Precise control is maintained with the semi circular steering wheel. A single control lever is used to control the auxiliary equipment.

Modification packages for the running gear, air intake system and oil cooling system are available as operating conditions may require. Various track systems such as the all rubber X track or summer steel can be specified for use.

The PistenBully FireFlex gives you the advantage of immense mobility and flexibility in every firefighting situation.
