The Snow Cutter is the perfect attachment for ripping up dense, hard manmade snow or icy snow.
The Snow Cutter is designed as an adapter and mounts in between the front blade and the Quik Mount frame.
The toothed cutter bar is lowered into the snow by means of a pivoting ram. It breaks up hard icy slopes into clumps of snow which are further reduced in size by the tracks and then restored to skiing condition by the tiller.
When the toothed cutter bar is pivoted back, the front blade is fully operational for normal blading. When the the cutter bar is pivoted forward into the renovating position, the hard icy snow is broken into clumps. These clumps are not displaced as the vehicle moves forward. The Snow Cutter has a hydraulic safety circuit in place. If the cutter bar strikes a rock, it swings back automatically.
The Snow Cutter weighs approximately 1000 lbs and is 13 feet in width. The cutter bar is sturdy and is made from wear resistant steel. The snow cutter is designed as an adapter. It is easily installed or removed as needed using the quik mount attachment points.
The Snow Cutter is designed for regenerating ski slopes that have become too hard or icy for the normal method of blading and tilling to be effective.
