Pure power. Thanks to the new Mercedes-Benz OM 460 LA engine. It develops a very impressive 1475 foot pounds of torque at only 1300 engine rpm. There are 455 horsepower at your disposal for moving that enormous pile of manmade snow across the ski slope. This is an intelligent engine. With its electronic fuel management the 300 Polar is thrifty on fuel. More power, lower consumption and reduced emissions. Environmentally friendly and economical. State-of-the-art engine technology from Mercedes-Benz.
Everything is on screen. The new on-board computer system displays all the information important for vehicle operation. Vehicle drive, tiller functions, engine status, winch and SNOWtronic can all be monitored from the display. There is even a screen to view fault codes. It is why we like to refer to the 300 Polar as the thinking machine.
Creative work with SNOWtronic. The driver can select from a number of possibilities: smoothing and forming slight waves on a connecting slope or creating a mogul on an otherwise flat slope. In each case, the tiller models the terrain regardless of vehicle movement. Manual adjustments are not necessary. The operator simply makes the choice on screen.
As bright as day - even at nighttime. Six xenon headlamps (standard equipment) illuminate the front work area as if it were broad daylight. The area lit is almost as large as a football field. At rear two lights integrated into the engine cover provide optimal lighting to the tiller.
