Winch power at your fingertips
The winch is designed to provide full cable pull over the entire speed range. It is equipped with 1000 meters (3280 feet) of rope. The 360 degree turntable design means the PistenBully 300W can change direction without the risk of the cable becoming twisted - an important feature for extending rope life.
Winch power is generated through two large diameter multi groove sheaves. Cable is wrapped onto the storage drum at low tension eliminating the need for a powered level wind system. The gull wing covers open up wide to access the gearbox for easier servicing.
A maximum rope pull of 4 ton provides a high reserve of safety. Rope tension is electronically adjustable from the joystick and remains constant even as vehicle travel speed varies. A rope load sensor mounted in the boom arm provides instant feedback. The operator never has to worry about matching vehicle speed to rope speed. He is free to concentrate on grooming the slope.
The 300W has many features. For instance, the rope failure detector alerts the operator to any strand breakage so that you can change out the cable before failure but not prematurely.The winch can be fully rotated hydraulically. This handy feature allows for exact positioning of the boom during hookup. There are working lights on the boom and at the rear of the winch to provide a clear view at night. The entire winch is simple to remove. The 300W can be used as a free groomer.
